R111 Hopper Wagon 1955-1965

The Hopper wagon entered the Transcontinental range in 1955 and stayed in the UK catalogue until 1965, although a Canadian livery variant was introduced from 1966.
The colours at the start were orange or dark green, dark green not selling well.
Later variants were turned out in red and towards the end of production for the UK they had a TR shield and smaller numbers. The first years they were heat printed with white or black printing. The wagon was popular due to the automatic unloading mechanism.
Grey shown in the early catalogues were never produced. Left can be seen the 1955-1958 variant with black printing.
