TRIANG BOLSTER WAGON 1953-1974

R17 1953-1971, R017 1973 and R676 1971-1974

The R17 Bolster wagon was produced in this grey variant with 2 bolsters until 1961, when it was replaced by a new moulding with only one bolster in the middle, in brown.

First produced with the running number 58698, this was changed a few months later to 43726. 1955 saw two changes in the number, firstly to 3726 and then to 7893.

The next four years two numbers were carried M59015 or M59034, numbers it held until the new moulding was produced. The numbers changed from large to small during the change to Mk3 couplings.

1962-63 for a short time an alternative number was 17351 and the 13T changed to 12T

This variant does not come up often, one to look out for.

The wagon was missing from the 1972 catalogue, so it may have been placed in the 1973 catalogue to clear stocks at the factory or retailers. It carried the stock number R017.

Given the R676 number, as the R17 was still taken, it was not really a "new" wagon, just a plain bolster wagon in green without a running number.
