In 1953 the Duchess of Atholl became the Duchess of Montrose when it recieved a green livery, in line with the other Hornby Dublo locomotives of the period.

Inits new livery. The diecast body had been produced since 1947

Note the addition of smoke deflectors. The model was produced in huge numbers and is one of the easy Hornby Dublo locomotives to find.
